I believe there is a secret code to succeeding online. Some guru’s have found it and have become millionaires in the process. The rest of us have to buy their books and audios to get the clues to succeeding online.
To put it mildly, I am obsessed with finding this code. I’ve ruined my eyesight reading online ebooks and my car is filled with CD recordings of numerous audio and teleseminar transcripts. I’ve put most of my findings in my eReports but, I just hit on a treasure trove of new information.

Now that we know that we need to get 3-4 visits - how do we get that done?
Here are some quick tips:
1) Use your autoresponder messages to direct people to your site. For example, if you publish an email newsletter, consider posting your newsletter issues on your website and use your autoresponder email to encourage the reader to visit the site to read the newsletter.
2) Don't attach your free giveaways to your email message. Post them to a page online and direct visitors to your site to download them
3) If you have a free membership site - make sure you post regularly and often. Not only will your visitors appreciate the new information, they will make it a point to return to your site for the information
4) This last tip is obvious but rarely done. Encourage your visitors to bookmark key pages on your site. Don't assume that they will do it.

Our lab rat for the last few days has been Mike Filsaime - Viral Internet Marketer extraordinaire.
By studying his blog posts, interviews, and early eBooks, I've been able to put together a pretty good picture on how he has achieved his success. And in these posts, we examine his "behind the curtain" secrets. We will focus on Mike for a few more posts and then we were turn our microscope on Mark Joyner.
Ok, so what is the #3 Success Secret for Mike?
It will shock you but it is Safelists. Yep, those annoying services that flood their members with advertising galore. Internet Marketers can't resist turning their nose up at Safelists (even me). But Mike in interview after interview points to Safelists as one of the best way to generate free traffic. What gives?
Well understand that Mike got his start in the 2004, Safelists were still relatively effective back then. As the years have worn on they have become a little long in the tooth. Mike in his book Carbon Copy Marketing, admits that safelists are old hat' - IF - you use them like most marketers. Wait - hold the train - what does he mean?
Like anything, their is a bad, good, excellent, and genius way to use a tool. In my 5 year old's hands a paint brush creates a mess, in my hand's, a decent painting, in Leonardo Da Vinci's hands - The Mona Lisa. Same paint brush - different user. The same goes for Safelists, in the beginning internet Marketer's hands - its a try it once and abandon it tool. In Mike's hand's Safelists generates hordes of targeted traffic.
Mike brings a couple different tools to the Safelist game.
1) He doesn't waste time on Free Safelists. In his opinion they are full of freebie seekers not real buyers

These days, Mike has a legion of Affiliates driving traffic to his flagship sites. In the meantime - Safelists have evolved into an even more effective breed of traffic drivers. Back in '04 - Safelists where still effective - but in '07 - zero-value spam artists have taken over. Very quickly, safelist owners realized that the value of their services were dropping faster than a used Pinto.
So in '06, some smart safelist owners created a new type of safelist - "The Credit Based Safelist." The credit based safelist borrows its mojo from traffic exchanges. Basically, if you read email - you get credits to send email. Like traffic exchanges - you're rewarded for participation.
For the moment, my tests have shown that these new Safelists are moderately effective at generating traffic. If you use traffic exchanges then you will know that it takes a little time to earn credits but credit based safelists are great for those who are low on cash.
To get the most out of Credit Safelists I recommend starting off with 5-10 then narrowing down to 2-3 lists based on their performance. Once you've narrowed in on the 2-3 lists that work - then consider paying for an upgraded membership. As a rule, I don't like to spend money on a safelist membership until I've found what works. And then, I will look to invest money to get bigger results more quickly."
